DataFast alternatives compared on price, revenue attribution and data ownership: Powers4GA, Plausible, Umami, Piqo, Fathom, Simple Analytics and GA4.

· by Shadab

Bar chart of total cost over two years: Powers4GA $39, Piqo $120, DataFast $216, Fathom $360, Plausible $456 and Umami $480.

DataFast is a revenue-first web analytics tool. It shows which traffic sources bring paying customers, and it starts at $9 a month. If you want the same answer without another monthly bill, or with your data in an account you own, these are the seven alternatives worth a look.

Disclosure: we make Powers4GA, the first tool on this list. Every price below was checked on the vendor’s own pricing page on 7 November 2026. Prices change, so check the linked page before you buy.

The short answer

  • Best for a one-time price: Powers4GA. $39 once, with revenue by source from Stripe or Dodo Payments. Your data lives in your own Google Analytics.
  • Best privacy-first option with revenue: Plausible. Revenue attribution and funnels come with the Business plan, from $19 a month.
  • Best free or self-hosted option: Umami. Open source, a free cloud plan, and a revenue report.

  • Best for many sites: Fathom. 50 sites on every plan, from $15 a month.
  • Best free plan without revenue: Simple Analytics. Free for hobby sites, $20 a month for more.
  • Free, if you have the time: Google Analytics 4. It can track revenue, but you build the reports yourself.

What to look for in a DataFast alternative

DataFast’s main promise is simple: see which channels bring revenue, not just visitors. So judge an alternative on four things.

  1. Does it tie revenue to a traffic source? Many simple analytics tools count visitors well but can’t say which source led to a sale.
  2. How do sales get in? A built-in payment integration reads every sale for you. A browser purchase event misses buyers who close the tab before the thank-you page, or who block the script.
  3. What does it cost over two or three years? A small monthly fee adds up. $9 a month is $216 over two years, and the price rises as your traffic grows.
  4. Who holds your data? If the vendor holds it, your history goes when you cancel. If it’s in an account you own, it stays.

1. Powers4GA

Best for: founders who want DataFast-style revenue analytics for a one-time price.

Powers4GA is a simple analytics dashboard on top of your own Google Analytics 4 property. Google stores the data, so Powers4GA doesn’t pay to store every event. That’s how it can charge once instead of every month.

  • Price: $39 one-time at launch, then $49. 14-day free trial, no card needed.
  • Revenue attribution: revenue, sales, average order, conversion rate and refunds, ranked by channel and referrer. Switch between the visit that bought (last touch) and how the buyer first found you (first touch).
  • How sales get in: add one webhook URL to Stripe or Dodo Payments. Each sale and refund is sent to Google Analytics from the server, tied to the visit it came from. Today’s sales show live, while Google Analytics catches up.
  • Dashboard: visitors, visits, page views, bounce rate and visit duration on one page. Click any row (a page, source, country, device or UTM) to filter everything to it. “Online now” shows who’s on your site.
  • Setup: connect Google. Pick a GA4 property you already have, or let Powers4GA create one. If you already use Google Analytics, your existing history shows from day one.
  • Data ownership: the GA4 property is in your Google account. If you stop using Powers4GA, it stays there with its full history.

Watch out for:

  • It only reads Stripe and Dodo Payments today. Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Polar and Shopify aren’t supported yet.
  • It runs on Google Analytics. If you want to avoid Google, pick Plausible, Umami or Fathom.
  • Google Analytics can take up to two days to process reports. Live sales and “online now” cover today.
  • AI assistant access through MCP is planned, not live. DataFast already has it.

2. Plausible Analytics

Best for: privacy-focused sites that want revenue attribution and funnels from an established tool.

  • Price: Starter is $9 a month for 10,000 pageviews and one site. Revenue attribution and funnels need the Business plan, from $19 a month for up to 10 sites. 30-day free trial, no card. Pricing.
  • Revenue attribution: you add a revenue value to a custom goal, and Plausible credits the revenue to the visit’s original source.
  • How sales get in: you send a purchase event from the visitor’s browser when they return from checkout. Plausible’s docs show how for Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy and Polar. Revenue docs.
  • Data ownership: Plausible hosts it, or you can self-host the Community Edition.

Watch out for: a browser purchase event misses buyers who don’t return to your site. Revenue isn’t on the cheaper plans.

3. Umami

Best for: developers who want open-source analytics, free or self-hosted.

  • Price: the Hobby plan is free for 100,000 events a month, one site and six months of history. Pro is $20 a month for 1 million events, up to 20 sites and two years of history. Self-hosting is free. Pricing.
  • Revenue: a revenue report totals the revenue and currency you send with custom events. Revenue docs.
  • How sales get in: you send each sale yourself, for example umami.track("checkout", { revenue: 19.99, currency: "USD" }).
  • Data ownership: Umami Cloud, or your own server.

Watch out for: there’s no built-in payment integration, so you write the code that sends each sale. Self-hosting means you run and update the server.

4. Piqo

Best for: the lowest monthly price with revenue attribution.

  • Price: Starter is $5 a month for 500,000 events, Growth $8 for 1 million and Scale $19 for 2.5 million. All plans cover up to 20 sites and three years of history. 7-day free trial, no card. Pricing.
  • Revenue attribution: “Revenue and signup attribution” is on every plan. Stripe is the only provider named on the pricing page.
  • AI: “Ask AI” and MCP access are on every plan.
  • Data ownership: Piqo hosts it.

Watch out for: check that your payment provider is supported before you commit.

5. Fathom Analytics

Best for: agencies and makers running lots of sites.

  • Price: from $15 a month for 100,000 pageviews, with 50 sites included. Extra packs of 50 sites are $10 a month. 7-day free trial, card required. Pricing.
  • Revenue: “Event and revenue tracking” is on every plan.
  • Data ownership: Fathom hosts it, with full history while you subscribe.

Watch out for: it costs more than DataFast at low traffic, and the pricing page doesn’t describe source-to-revenue attribution in DataFast’s depth.

6. Simple Analytics

Best for: a free, privacy-first traffic dashboard when you don’t need revenue.

  • Price: free for hobby sites (up to five sites, 30 days of history, a badge required). The paid plan is $20 a month at 100,000 pageviews, plus $20 a month for each extra user. 14-day free trial, no card. Pricing.
  • Revenue: the pricing page doesn’t list revenue or ecommerce tracking.

Watch out for: without revenue attribution, it doesn’t replace DataFast’s core feature.

7. Google Analytics 4 on its own

Best for: anyone with no budget and the time to learn it.

  • Price: free.
  • Revenue attribution: yes, once you send purchase events with a value and currency. Reports can break revenue down by source, campaign and landing page.
  • Data ownership: your own Google account.

Watch out for: the reports are hard to find and harder to read. You set up ecommerce events yourself, and reports can take 24 to 48 hours to process (Google: data freshness). This gap is what Powers4GA fills: the same GA4 data, on one simple page, with sales sent in for you.

How much does each option cost over two years?

At the lowest tier that includes revenue tracking, before tax:

Tool Year 1 Year 2 Total after 2 years
Powers4GA $39 $0 $39
Piqo Starter $60 $60 $120
DataFast Starter $108 $108 $216
Fathom $180 $180 $360
Plausible Business $228 $228 $456
Umami Pro $240 $240 $480

These use monthly prices. Most tools offer about two months free on yearly billing. Traffic limits differ (events versus pageviews), and monthly prices rise as your traffic grows.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free alternative to DataFast?

Umami. Its free cloud plan covers 100,000 events a month and includes a revenue report, and you can self-host it for free at any volume. Google Analytics 4 is also free, but much harder to use.

Is there a DataFast alternative with a one-time price?

Yes. Powers4GA costs $39 once at launch, then $49. It can charge once because your data is stored in your own Google Analytics property, not on Powers4GA’s servers.

Which DataFast alternative tracks Stripe revenue?

Powers4GA reads Stripe sales from a webhook, so every payment counts, even when the buyer never returns to your site. Piqo names Stripe on its pricing page. Plausible and Umami can show Stripe revenue if you send each purchase as an event.

Can I keep my data if I stop using the tool?

It depends where the data lives. With Powers4GA and Google Analytics 4, the data is in your own Google account and stays there. With self-hosted Plausible or Umami, it’s on your server. With hosted tools such as DataFast, Piqo, Fathom and Simple Analytics, the vendor holds it, so check their export options.

Is Powers4GA made by Google?

No. Powers4GA is an independent product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. It works with your Google Analytics 4 property through Google’s own APIs.
